Modelers who enjoy the smaller scales will love this month's interview video with layout owner, Mr. Dave: we tour the Golden ~ Blackhawk & Central City, a large, freelanced Z scale railroad built by David George of Spring, Texas. You’ll learn the behind-the-scenes process of David’s scenery techniques (and see how good scenery can look in 1:220 scale) of the 14.5 x 9 foot (4.42 x 2.74 meter) layout. The G~B&CC used to be a traveling layout. Nowadays, it lives in Tomball, Texas, where you can visit to see it for yourself. The video includes an interview with David on site (plus railfanning footage).
